Nokia 6120 Classic

This time it is the black Nokia 6120 Classic that suffers. In actuality, the front, back and side designs pretty much stays close to the original, with rather accurate building materials. The main drawback would be the authentic Nokia branding on the front. Specifications ain’t too shabby - a 2.6″ 260k color QVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support and stereo speakers - all crammed into a body that measures 111mm x 48mm x 16mm and weighs 85 grams. No idea on pricing, but don’t expect to see this in the US anytime soon.

Nokia’s 8800 Arte and Sapphire Arte for the nouveau riche

Are you a “style-conscious consumer?” Yeah, then the 3G Nokia 8800 Arte and Sapphire Arte are for you toots. Just as long as you’ve got a €1,000 pre-tax bounty saved up for the Arte or €1,150 for the Sapphire Arte when they ship in Q4 2007 and Q1 2008, respectively. For that you get a 2.0-inch QVGA OLED display, 3.2 megapixel camera, 1GB of built-in memory, an anti-fingerprint coating on the metal and glass, and a leather pouch with linen-lining to keep things tidy. It also ships with a Nokia BH-803 noise-cancelling Bluetooth headset which should help to minimize the “new money” whispers from behind your back.

Nokia NM705i heads for DoCoMo

Nokia is certainly taking its role in the Japanese market seriously with the NM705i cellphone which is available exclusively to NTT DoCoMo customers. Designed to work on the FOMA (WCDMA 2100MHz) network and WCDMA 800/850 network, this quad-band GSM phone will be able to function just about anywhere else in the world. Features include an integrated FM radio and Bluetooth 2.0 compatibility. As to pricing and availability details, they’re just about as non-existent as life on Mars despite gaining FCC approval recently.

Nokia N82 launched

Nokia introduces officially the Nokia N82 smartphone optimized for photography, navigation and internet connectivity.

Features of the Nokia N82 include 2.4 inch QVGA screen, A-GPS, 5MP Camera, Xeon flash, Carl Zeiss Optics, Wi-Fi and digital music player. The design of the Nokia N82 is not really breath taking. The feature set is great, but overall the phone is not very sexy. Measurements of the Nokia N82 are 112×50.2×17.3mm and the weight is 114g.

The Nokia runs S60 OS with S60 3rd edition feature Pack 1 user interface and supports WCDMA2100 (HSDPA), EGSM900, GSM850/1800/1900 MHz (EGPRS) networks. The Nokia N82 is available now in key markets with an estimated, pre-tax, unsubsidized sales price of approximately 450 euros (~$660).

iRadio Brings Streaming Radio to iPhone

iRadio, by Conceited Software, just received an update which brings it much closer to being a valuable iPhone app. The app is basically a SHOUTcast player for the iPhone that allows playing and browsing of thousands of online stations. The app works best under WiFi, but is not limited to it, and does work while using EDGE.
